Home games and practices are held at the Cambria County War Memorial. The IceCats hold three on-ice practices and one off-ice conditioning practice per week throughout the 30-game regular season. The season begins in early September, with tryouts beginning the week after Labor Day, and finishes with the National Tournament held in March. The team won the CHE Championship in 2003, 20 and also qualified for the ACHA National tournament 2005, 2006, and 2014. The organization promotes teamwork and develops leadership skills. The Pitt-Johnstown IceCats hockey team is a competitive member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the College Hockey East (CHE). The club aims to provide programs that allow the community to spectate, learn, and to participate in a friendly, competitive environment. The club's role is to provide a welcome environment for the growing community of E-Sports enthusiasts. Provide chess-playing opportunities for students, faculty,and staff, while learning and understanding the game of chess. Meetings and practices are held at Uzelac's Athletic Training Center and at the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center. The cheerleaders compete nationally against other collegiate cheerleading squads at The National Association Competition (NCA) in Daytona Beach, FL.
